Why should I choose Nortik?
We’re an enthusiastic software development agency focused on developing top of the line SaaS products.

With over $150M in combined funding raised by our clients and partners, we built up the confidence to tackle any challenge that comes our way.

Also having built over 25 SaaS products helped us create systems that ensure our development goes smoothly, securely and incredibly fast, using our own in-house frameworks.
What would be the first step when it comes to a new engagement kick off?
The usual first step when conducting a new partnership is a kick off call where we discuss all of the important information, starting from the service agreement, timeline, and costs, and going a bit deeper into the product development itself.

The first step after the official kick off is usually a 1-week prep where we create the groundwork for further development.

This week is usually reserved for account creation, connecting 3rd parties and creating a product roadmap, and user stories using an agile approach.
How long does it usually take to kick off a new engagement?
It usually takes us from 2 to 4 weeks to officially agree on our partnership, prepare the development team, complete the contract signing phase and finalize the first discovery call on which we map out the next steps and prepare for the official kick off.

Depending on the project size, this may vary, but this is the timeframe in which you can expect we will conduct our first kick off call.
What’s the difference between end-to-end delivery and time & material engagement types?
End-to-end engagements oftentimes mean that we will be responsible for forming a complete in-house team and leading it throughout the full product development cycle. This directly implies that apart from engaging the usual Frontend / Backend / Fullstack development roles, we will have to engage additional ones such as SCRUM Master, Product Manager, QA Tester, etc.

Our team will be responsible for the whole process from start to finish, thus the name “end-to-end” delivery.

Engagements like these, tend to be billed on a fixed-price model.

Time and material model is directly tied to the team augmentation or team extension model, where companies that already have established teams are looking for additional resources in order to increase their feature shipping capacity or overall development speed. In these types of engagements, our engineers are directly placed in our client's team and adapted to their working culture, communicating with their Product Owners and Managers.

Engagements like these tend to be billed based only on the development hours spent working on the project.
How do I know how many engineers I need for my project?
We sit down, discuss your requirements, and come out with a rough estimate of the timeline needed to complete them. We also present different options on how we would approach the project and propose appropriate roles, team sizes and timelines by which the development of such project would be most optimal.

In the end, you always choose the option that fits you best.
Can I confirm the expertise of the provided engineers?
Yes, we offer different pre-screening options such as going through your preferred screening process or offering our engineers on a 2-week free trial basis in order to confirm their expertise.

All of our engineers posses at least 3 years of development experience and are fluent English speakers.
How do you communicate during the product development phase?
For async communication we use tools such as Slack, Jira and Notion.

We also agree on regular sync ups and daily or weekly calls in order to track progress.
Are there additional costs we should be aware of (e.g., licenses, hosting, etc.)?
Yes, building a software business always comes with additional costs such as servers, hosting, domains, and maintenance.

But this isn’t something to worry about, as all of these expenses are oftentimes not exceeding $40-$80/mo.
Can I scale the team up or down during the project if my needs change?
Absolutely! Our team augmentation model is flexible, allowing you to update the team size and dynamic with a 30 days written notice.

Whether you would like to ramp the speed of development by adding additional members into the team, or slow things down, we’re always here to respect your decision and advise you what’s the best way to move forward.
What kind of support or involvement is expected from my side during the engagement?
You can choose how much you would like to be involved in the product development cycle.

Whether you would like to talk with the team to oversee progress on a daily level or just be notified in an async way via loom videos, in the end it’s your decision.

What’s important is that we agree on the core functionalities of the product in order to avoid any setbacks and long wait periods and to ensure the product development cycle moves forward smoothly.
How do you match engineers or teams to the unique requirements of my project?
All of our team members posses unique skills.

Based on your product description, we match the required technologies and past experience to our engineers and construct the best fitting team for your needs specifically.
